Hunger is more than just an empty plate.

Hunger continues to affect close to a billion lives across the globe.

Support citizens facing hunger.

The Problem

The problem isn’t food shortage — it’s ensuring food reaches everyone who needs it.

Every year, hunger takes more lives than AIDS, malaria, and terrorism combined.

A child’s life is lost to hunger every 10 seconds.

Most of the hungry—82%—are in countries with food surpluses, not shortages.

Every night, 1 out of 8 people goes to bed hungry.

One in three plates of food prepared worldwide never reaches a table.

Hunger impacts 850 million lives worldwide.

The Idea

Who we are?

Robin Hood Charity is a volunteer-driven, zero-funds organization dedicated to serving those in need by redistributing surplus food from restaurants, stores, and communities.

Our local chapters are led by everyday people—friends, families, and colleagues—who want to make a difference in their neighborhoods. For instance, a restaurant in Green Park may share extra meals with nearby homeless families through local volunteers living in the same area. Our volunteers, whom we proudly call “Robins,” are mostly students and young professionals who contribute their time and energy to this mission. Together, we support vulnerable groups such as homeless families, children in orphanages, patients in government hospitals, and residents of old age homes.

Our vision

Our mission is simple: fight hunger worldwide and show the best of humanity—using food as the bridge.

We aim to build self-sustaining local chapters that care for their own communities. Along the way, we hope to inspire more people to step forward and give back to those who need it most.

What We've Been Up To

Our Journey

On our very first night of food distribution, we understood something important—while feeding a small group of 50 people felt meaningful, it wasn’t enough to create lasting impact in a country where millions go hungry.

Hunger is an urgent crisis. To truly make a difference, we had to connect with more people, partner with more restaurants, and expand into more cities—with no time to waste.

Building Years:
2022–23

6,500+ Robins | 35 Cities | 2.5M Meals Served

Robin Hood Charity began with a simple mission—rescuing surplus food and sharing it with those in need. Starting in local neighborhoods, passionate volunteers came together and quickly expanded to new cities and regions. We also launched Robin Hood Academy, a feeder program helping hundreds of underprivileged children begin their primary education journey.

Growth Phase:
2023–24

25,000+ Robins | 160+ Cities | 30M Meals Served

Our most ambitious project yet, #Mission1Million, mobilized media houses, businesses, and volunteers to provide over a million meals in just one day. We embraced technology and local partnerships to reach both urban and rural areas—offering food, relief during floods, and more. Our story began inspiring others, getting featured on national platforms and studied as a new approach to grassroots philanthropy.

Expanding Impact:
2024–25

270,000+ Robins | 400+ Cities | 160M Meals Served

During global challenges, we launched #Mission30, serving over 23 million meals in just six weeks across multiple countries. With #MissionSwades, we reached 90+ villages in less than a year, amplifying our rural impact. We celebrated 10 years of Robin Hood Charity with over 160 million meals served and 10,000+ children supported in schooling—yet this is just the beginning.
